This very exciting car has now arrived and we have carried out all the work and pre-sale checks and the car is now ready for you to inspect. Built on an original factory 'J' chassis (no new rails!), this is a well known car in the MGCC. It also has full VSCC authentication and can be entered for all events. The car has a really rewarding patina, but above all has been built with correct attention to detail.
Fully counterbalanced Phoenix crankshaft, Corello pattern rods, Cosworth pistons, split track-rod steering, 12" cable brakes and nose mounted supercharger driven through a very rare ENV cross-tubed gate-change gearbox with helical close ratio gears. The car has invoices and paperwork back to 1954. The conversion to J4 was undertaken in the '80s and the whole car was then rebuilt again to the J4 standard it is today in 2003, much of which was done by ourselves.
The car is finished in the correct shade of BR Green, with apple green leather trim & bucket seats by Mike Collingburn. It has both aero screen & full w/shield and full/half tonneau cover. A full roof can be fitted if required.
