Enquire about this carTo look at this TC, you'd say it looks as docile and original as any you've seen......UNTIL you drive it. It is in fact a VERY original all-matching Nos. example, still in its factory colour combination, but the small overbore to 1300cc, the addition of a 5-speed gearbox, a VW steering box (originals available), better ratio back axle and side mounted supercharger (uprating the BHP from 54 to 75) you realise all these highly valuble extras have made this std. TC into something you really can't wait to use and get out of the garage. You have the steering and power to keep up with today's traffic, reliability for home & European touring, Club events or simply a dash to the pub. Over £10,000 worth of improvements that make all the difference today, without detracting from the pedigree or being asked a silly price. (And you can always put the old steering box & gear box back in, but you won't want to ?)
This car was an direct factory export to the US before all the EXU formulation (with bumpers & bull horns, etc.) and benefitted from a rust free early life. It did not return home until 2016, and although scruffy, was extremely sound and original. The car underwent a full restoration both bodily and mechanically to the standard we offer, and have checked to be right; and with the improvements detailed above, together with our years of knowledge, you are being offered here a TC considerably more than a peg or two above the numerous TCs that are now for sale on the market, AND at a price well below what it should command for this specification.
Finished in original Sequoia Cream with red leather and beige weather equipment of roof, tonneau & s/screens. It also has an extra half tonneau in red which can be used on its own. The dashboard is all correct with a combined oil pressure and water temp. thus avoiding additional holes in the board. It sports rebuilt original wheels, near new tyres, original s/absorbers, improved differential, and discreet turn signals. Finally, the full screen also has the option of a pair of wind-wings, and there is also an unfitted aeroscreen and bonnet belt, all included in the sale.
The car has been fully serviced by us, and comes with a huge US & UK history file, DVLA age-related registration, V5c, and factory owners manual.
(The photos are not the best, the car being lighter in colour than shown as you will see when you visit) .
I thoroughly recommend a test drive, the difference these improvements make is substantial. Buy from a knowledgable, old fashioned established dealer and you'll go home with a 'goody', really!
